We’ve answered a lot of questions in our FAQ posts, but this week I was able to sit down with our CEO, John Oechsle (@hjoech), on Friday and ask him a few questions about our acquisition of ACT! and SalesLogix. We had a great chat. Here are his answers to some of the questions I asked:
What does Swiftpage know about enterprise business?
Excellent question. We’re thrilled this acquisition comes with the very talented and experienced SalesLogix team. They’ll add expertise to our executive team, which is made up of individuals from all walks of life who have worked with, in, and led businesses of every size. Our collective experience lends itself well to bringing SalesLogix and their customers into our portfolio of products. Now we can offer our customers a seamless path to growth from Swiftpage to ACT! and to SalesLogix.
We know you can’t share a lot, but can you give us an idea of the vision for Swiftpage, ACT! and SalesLogix?
Sure. Our main purpose is to provide marketing and CRM services to help businesses convert leads, retain customers and grow. We want to be the #1 marketing services and CRM provider in the world. The acquisition of ACT! and SalesLogix brings us much closer to that goal. We envision creating a pathway of growth through our portfolio of products, making them easier to use, more innovative, and offering even more services in the years to come.
What makes you different?
Well, have you met the Swifties? They are an incredibly talented group, I must say. Ok, enough bragging for now.
Really what makes us different is we now have a portfolio of products which are tried and true, empowering thousands of users to convert and retain customers and promote growth. We offer many entry points to our products, starting with our Swiftpage Connect service for micro and small business, and will now offer ACT! for growing small businesses and of course SalesLogix for established enterprises. As a customer of any of our brands, you’ll have access to our full suite of contact manager, CRM solutions and email and social marketing products, all of which put customers on a fast track for growth.
We can also white label our services to meet specific needs of companies. And we can easily integrate tools that help build presence, traffic and optimization swiftly (pun intended).
Should we expect to see orange ACT! and SalesLogix logos?
Ha! No. Don’t worry about that. We know we are acquiring brands with a tremendous following and brand affinity. We may make some small changes, but orange is not in the plan for the logos.
What other questions would you like to have John answer?

Don’t knock orange! Could be a great logo update
Great to hear !
Looking forward to some stability and innovative development now the clouds & fog surrounding ACT! development and support have lifted.
I am new to this blog, but not new to ACT. I was involved in the launching of the ACT program as I was Executive VP of Marketing & Sales when we were approached to become a “test” company for the fledgling ACT program. This was long before the term “beta” was in vogue. For some reason known only to the powers above, lo these many years I have been loyal to the program. You can only imagine the good and bad times I have lived through as ACT went from owner to owner. 19 Years ago, my wife and I founded a non-profit and ACT had to learn new tricks, and learn them it did. Without ACT, there would not be kidscanmakeadifference.org.
Never in my widest dreams did I ever envision ending up as a Swiftie, but here I am with finger and toes crossed hoping for the best.
We are thrilled to welcome you as a Swiftie! We really believe and will show you this is for the best.
