We’ve been seeing hearts pop up all over our inboxes (see below for a list of some of the ones we have seen). In this season of love, have a little fun with your subject line and add a heart.
If you want to try the trend, here are the steps:
- Find a ♥ symbol you want to use from a site such as fsymbols.com or from this Wikipedia article.
- Copy the ♥ symbol and paste it into your subject line. Be sure to copy the symbol itself, not the unicode.
- Send test emails to a variety of email clients and mobile devices to make sure it looks good. If a symbol is not supported by an email client or on a device, your recipients will see a ☐.
That’s it! Have fun showing the love, but be careful not to over do it.

Love it! I have been getting more and more hearts all week. I really like how they look on my iPhone. Anyone else have any to share?
